On August 20 in Pointe-Noire, the economic capital of the Republic of Congo, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on strategic partnership aimed at developing and integrating mas-wrestling into the school environment.

More than 200 athletes representing 30 educational institutions and sports organizations from across Bangladesh participated in the Ethnosport National Open Championship 2026, held today at the Russian House in Dhaka.

Athletes from ten countries participated in the prestigious international mas-wrestling tournament held in Arkhangai, Mongolia, with a prize fund of $30,000.

Following the North American Open Mas-Wrestling Championship, the continental team has been assembled to take part in the Mas-Wrestling Team Cup in Yakutia.

From 24 to 26 June 2026, the AGT & KMWF ATLANTS International Mas-Wrestling Tournament for students and children was held in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the campus of Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University.

Mas-Wrestling was among the featured traditional sports showcased at the Dhaka Divisional Boys’ Ethnosport Training Seminar 2026, held at Manarat Dhaka International School & College in Dhaka, Bangladesh on June 18.

According to the IMWF Calendar, two South American championships were held in Sao Paulo, Brazil – one in an open format by weight categories and another for athletes from the continent in the absolute weight category.
