PACIFIC RIM Competition in national sports of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia)
Aims
Competition is held in the aim of popularization national sports of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), strengthening friendly relationship among countries.
Date and venue
Competition is held on September 5-8, 2022 in Vladivostok (Primorskiy Krai, Russia) on address: Russkiy Island, Far Eastern Street.
Competition Program:
September 5 – arrival day, registration and drawing of participants;
September 6 – participating in events under the EEF program
September 7 – competitive day;
September 8 – departure day.
Management
General management of preparation and holding of competitions is
carried out by the All-Russian Mas-Wrestling Federation, International Mas-Wrestling Federation, Joint Stock company «Yakutia Railways», SBI of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) «Republican Center of National Sports named after Vasiliy Manchaary» and Mas-Wrestling Development Fund "Planet Mas-Wrestling" and Organizing Committee on the preparation and holding Eastern Economic Forum.
Direct responsibility of holding the event carried on the Grand Jury, approved by the International Mas-Wrestling Federation.
Participants
Allowed to participate 24 athletes (16 men and 8 women), passed medical examination and permitted to engage in power sports by the personal invitation of International Mas-Wrestling Federation.
The distribution of participants into two teams of 12 (twelve) people (8 men and 4 women) is made by the GJ according to the rating of the places taken at the International Mas-Wrestling Tournament "KOLMAR CUP", September 6, 2022. Each participant has the right to take part in no more than 4 types of the program.
Sports Program:
1. Mas-wrestling.
Competition is held according to the current rules of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation.
All members of both teams participate on a wall-to-wall basis. The composition of the pairs is determined by the team captains.The winning team is determined by the highest number of points won.
2. Tutum - ergiir (yakutian spinning)
2 (two) athletes fr om each team participate - 1 man and 1 woman. The start for the exercise is given to the participants in pairs.
Each participant takes a stick 25 cm long with his left (right) hand with a grip from below from one end, with the other hand - with a grip from above from the other end and puts the stick on a special stop - takes the starting position.
At the command of the judge, the participant, without changing the initial grip of the stick, bending and stepping over with his feet, must perform a flip through his left or right hand, without releasing the stick from his hands. Then it returns to its original position. At the same time, it is not allowed to tear the stick from the stop, change the initial grip, touch the ground with any part of the body. The task of the athlete is to make the maximum number of revolutions.
Participants are given 2 minutes and one attempt to complete the exercise.
The winner is the team that made the most turns in total.
3. Yakutian jumps
Yakut jumps are a kind of horizontal jumps performed from a running start in order to overcome the greatest distance.
3 athletes from each team participate - 2 men and 1 woman.
The first male participant performs 7 Kylyy jumps. "Kylyy", these are 7 non-stop jumps on one leg from a running start and with a mandatory landing on the 7th jump on both legs;
The second male participant performs 7 Ystanga jumps. "Ystanga" is 6 jumps from one foot to the other with a run and a mandatory landing on the 7th jump on both legs.
The third female participant performs 7 Kuobah jumps. “Kuobah” is 7 non-stop jumps on two legs. The jump is performed from a place or from a run (jump).
Each participant is given three attempts, one best attempt counts. The places of the teams are determined by summing up the best results of the three participants.
4. Turgen tarbakhtar (yakutian rope)
Each team has 3 athletes – 2 men and 1 woman.
A rope 6 m long is attached to round sticks 30 cm long and 2.5 cm in diameter. The center line mark is located at a distance of 3 m from the sticks. The winner in the pair is the one that quickly twists the rope to the center mark.
The team wins by the sum of points for a victory in each duel.
5. Oybon (watering from an ice-hole)
Each team has 4 athletes - 2 men and 2 women.
Athletes take the right hand on the left ear and the left hand on the toe of the right foot. From this position, they should alternately grab the “Kytiya” vessels with their teeth, 15 cm high, 10 cm and 5 cm high (as if drinking water from an ice hole).
Each participant is given one attempt per vessel. The time of the exercise in each attempt and the number of grips "Kytiya" are counted. The winner is determined by the sum of captures of "Kytiya", for the least amount of time. The places of the teams are determined by summing up the attempts made by each participant. In case of a tie, the participant or team that performed the exercise first has the advantage.
6. Relay run with sandbags (weight 100 kg)
4 athletes of weight category up to 90 kg from each team participate.
Both teams start at the same time. Every 50 m athletes change each other. The participant who ran to the mark puts the bag on the ground, the next participant picks it up and runs to the next mark, wh ere the next team member is waiting for him.
The team that reaches the finish line first wins.
Determinations of winners:
In each type of competition, teams receive points according to their places. The winning team is determined by the smallest sum of points by type of competition.
Awarding
Members of team-winner to be awarded with medals, diplomas and memorable prizes.
