REGULATION

on holding 2025 Open European Mas-wrestling Absolute Championship

among men and women

Aims and objectives

The 2025 Open European Mas-wrestling Absolute Championship among men and women is the official sporting competition of the International Mas-wrestling Federation and is held to promote and develop mas-wrestling in the world and solves the following tasks:

- determination the strongest mas-wrestling athletes;

- improvement of sportsmanship of athletes;

- strengthening friendly sporting relationship among countries. 

Date and venue

The 2025 Open European Mas-wrestling Absolute Championship among men and women is held on April 25-28 of 2025 in Tskaltubo, Georgia on address: Sh. Rustaveli Street, building 3, Sport complex.

Arrival days – April 24-25, departure day – April 28.

Competition program:*

April 24-25 (Thursday, Friday) – arrival day

April 25 (Friday) –  commission on registration and admission of participants

April 26 (Saturday) – weigh-in and drawing of participants

April 27 (Sunday) - competition day

April 28 (Monday) – departure day

Management

General management of preparation and holding of championship is carried out by the International Mas-wrestling Federation, National Mas-wrestling Federation of Georgia, ANO «World Mas-wrestling Center», State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) «Republican Center of National Sports named after Vasiliy Manchaary».

Direct responsibility of holding competition carried on the Ground Jury, approved by the International Mas-wrestling Federation. 

Participation terms

Allowed to participate athletes aged of 18 (at least before the day of competitions) and over, passed medical examination and permitted to engage in power sports by the application of the National Mas-wrestling Federations or authorized bodies. An athlete must have a passport or other document certifying citizenship of the country he/she represents at the competitions, regardless of continental, regardless of continental affiliation.

The National Mas-wrestling Federations are entitled to be represented up to 6 (six) athletes, but no more than 3 (three) athletes in a weight category.

Participants are required to perform in sportswear No.1 or No.3 in accordance with the International Rules of Mas-wrestling. 

Conditions for holding competition

Competitions are of individual-team nature and are held according to the current 2025 International Mas-wrestling Rules.

Minimum weight of participants: men – 90 kg, women – 70 kg.

The competition system will be determined depending on the number of participants in accordance with the competition rules.

Weigh-in procedure to be held before the day of competition.

Participants grant organizers a right to take a photo, to film or otherwise use their
voice, appearance and name. Further, the content can be displayed, distributed or otherwise
used in merchandising and advertising to promote the sport in any media now known and
possible in the future. The rights to be granted indefinitely and without additional
compensation.

The final results (protocols) on paper and electronic form should be given in 2 (two) weeks after the sports event is over. 

Insurance

Participation in the competitions is allowed only in case of presence of life and health insurance from accidents (original), which is submitted to the commission for registration and admission of participants.

Insurance fees of athletes carry the sending organizations. 

Safety

Competitions to be held in sport buildings, agreeable to the standards of corresponding standard rules of law, functioning in the territory of Georgia and directed to provide public order and safety of participants and spectators.

Qualified medical personnel should present in competition venue.

Financing

All costs connected with preparation and holding of competition, under the terms of equity, carry the International Mas-wrestling Federation, National Mas-wrestling Federation of Georgia, State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) «Republican Center of National Sports named after Vasiliy Manchaary», ANO «World Mas-wrestling Center» and Mas-Wrestling Development Fund «Planet Mas-Wrestling».

The costs of sending participants (travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, visa costs) are carry by sending organizations.

Mas-wrestling Federation of Georgia covers:

1. Free transfer from the International airport of Tbilisi and Kutaisi to Tskaltubo and back of members of the national teams of the European Championship.

2. Payment of expenses for accommodation and meals for 5 (five) members of the national team of the European Championship. 

Awarding

Top three athletes in each weight category to be awarded with medals, diplomas. 

Applications

Preliminary applications are submitted until March 17, 2025 on address:

- International Mas-wrestling Federation: imwf@mail.ru;

- National Mas-wrestling Federation of Georgia: mtuskadze@gmail.com.

The national flag of the country, anthem on electronic media, nominal and technical applications signed by the head of the national mas-wrestling federation and a doctor, as well as the originals of the following documents for each athlete are presented to the commission for admission of participants to competitions:

- passport, certifying the nationality of the participant or a representing country’s residence permit;

- life and health insurance against accidents (original).  

Visa

Delegations of countries that require a VISA to stay in Georgia must send a list of participants with comprehensive information to the organizers in advance until March 03. 

Marketing and advertising

The Organizing Committee guarantees maintenance of Sponsor rights by the partners and sponsors of the International Mas-wrestling Federation, appointed in the appropriate Agreements. 

This Regulation is the official challenge to the competition.
