National Mas-Wrestling team of Russia is ready for the World Championship
We remind that the first Mas-Wrestling World Championship was held in 2014 in Yakutsk and caused a stormy reception throughout the world. For the second time, mas-wrestlers fought for the title of world champions in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata at the World Nomad Games in 2016. Time goes fast. And now, for the third time, the strongest mas-wrestlers of the planet will come out on the world platform to challenge the titles of the best in mas-wrestling. Once again, the hospitable Yakutsk will open its arms to athletes from different continents, who are engaged in a sport from Yakutia with great enthusiasm.
On the eve of a big sporting event, we are starting a series of reports on championship participants from different countries. And first of all we will tell about the Russian national team.
The composition of the national team of Russia was formed on the basis of the championship of Russia, which was held in Nalchik in May of this year. In other words, the 2018 country champions were part of the team.
To qualify for the national championship, these athletes were pre-selected not only in their own regions, but also in All-Russian tournaments. Those who have passed the most severe selection are ready to fight in Yakutsk only for gold medals. Now, when the world champions’ title are at stake, they are focused only on one thing - on preparation for the upcoming world championships. The next world championships will be held only in two years.
Introducing future heroes:

As we can see, the final composition of the national mas-wrestling team of Russia mainly consists of athletes from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). And this is obvious, taking into account that this sport comes from the northern republic. Most of the Yakut athletes have already tasted the taste of glory, becoming the title holders of the best in the world. And now they crave only the highest quality medals. The Yakut audience is looking forward to the arrival of participants from different continents, but of course they will be cheering for their own country. They will not fail.
