Youth Mas-Wrestling competitions started in Ukraine

The competition was attended by young athletes from the Sofievsky secondary school, vocational lyceum and Nikolaevka school.

At the opening of the competition, young athletes were greeted by the chief referee of the competition Viktor Kruglik. He congratulated everyone on the start of the competition and spoke about the Competition Calendar for 2021 and the preparation for it.

Then the championship started and the athletes of the lightest weight category up to 40 kilograms were the first to start the match. The athlete from Nikolaevka Alexander Buzherin became the champion of the region, the athlete of the Sofievsky Mas-Wrestling Federation Alexander Pautov became the second.

In the next weight category, five athletes fought for the victory and the bronze was won by Yaroslav Vasetsky (Sofievsky secondary school) and Alexander Pautov (Sofievsky Mas-Wrestling federation). Silver got Maxim Grigoriev (Russia), and the representative of the Nikolaevka school Sergey Furman became the champion of the region.

In the next weight category up to 45 kilograms, Anton Romanenko (Sofia Mas-Wrestling Federation) won the bronze, Mikhail Sokolenko (Russia) won silver, and Anatoly Ushakov, the representative of Nikolaevka, again became the champion of the region! Congratulations!

In the weight category up to 50 kilograms, Daniil Kunakh from the Nikolaevka secondary school became the champion of the Sofievsky district in 2021, the silver was won by Denis Kukharov (Nikolaevka), and the bronze was won by Alexander Bespaly (Sofia Mas-Wrestling Federation).

In the weight category up to 56 kilograms, four athletes fought for the victory. Anatoly Perekhrest from Nikolayevka rightfully became the champion of the Sofievsky district, silver got Stanislav Gladky (Sofia federation) and bronze won by Maxim Shipka (Nikolaevka) and Mikhail Mostovoy.

In the weight category up to 60 kilograms, the champion of the Sofievsky district was the representative of the Sofia Mas-Wrestling Federation Bogdan Perekhrest, silver was won by Dmitry Kovsh (Nikolaevka secondary school).

In the 65+ weight category, Evgeny Putienko, Nikita Kvasov and Roman Danshin competed for the victory. Roman Danshin (Nikolaevka) won bronze, Nikita Kvasov (Nikolaevka) won silver. And Evgeny Putienko, a representative of the Sophia Mas-Wrestling Federation, became the champion of the district! Congratulations!

Then the girls began the matches. In the weight category up to 48 kilograms, four athletes fought for the victory, and as a result of an uncompromising struggle Ruslana Buzherina from Nikolaevka became the champion of the Sofievsky district in 2021, silver got Ulyana Kotsyur (Nikolaevka secondary school) and bronze were won by Christina Dovzhenko (Sofievsky secondary school) and Ekaterina Ivatovich (Sofievsky vocational Lyceum).

Among the heaviest and strongest athletes in the 58 kg weight category, four athletes competed for the victory and an uncompromising struggle brought Yulia Zhornyak from the Sofia vocational Lyceum to the champion title, the silver got Viktoria Fedoseyeva from the Nikolaevka School and the bronze was won by Yana Sokolovskaya (Sofievsky vocational Lyceum) and Vika Begunskaya from the Nikolaevka secondary school.

Following the results of the regional championship will be formed a team to participate in the championship of the Dnipropetrovsk region, which will be held in Sofiyivka on February 13.
