From September 8 to 13, the capital of Kazakhstan, the beautiful Astana, will gather 2,500 thousand participants of the 5th World Nomad Games from 89 countries.

The comprehensive program of the 5th World Nomad Games will traditionally be represented by events in three areas: sports, culture and science.

A rich cultural program will be presented on the territory of the large Ethnoaul "Universe Nomads", as well as on the best concert, theater, park venues of Astana. An important event will be the International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the discussion of current issues of the development of ethnosport.

The sports program of the Games will feature 97 sets of medals in 21 sports. The competitions will be held in the modern arenas of the capital.

Mas-wrestling competitions within the Games will be held on September 9-10 at the Alau Ice Palace, located at 47 Kabanbay Batyr Ave.

The mas-wrestling platform will be under heavy load, as about 200 participants will test its endurence over two days. This is the number of athletes applied on the official website of the Games. Which of them will pass accreditation will be known later.

The weight categories in mas-wrestling have been reduced due to the known events and the cutting of the Games budget. Thus, mas-wrestlers will compete in eight categories: men - in five: 65 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, 105 kg, women - in three: 55 kg, 65 kg and 75 kg.

The prize fund of the Games is 23 million tenge. The prize money for each sport is different. In our sport, as in all individual sports, they will be: for 1st place – 500 000 tenge for 2nd place – 300 000 tenge for 3rd place – 200 000 tenge.

Accommodation and meals for the national teams, each consisting of eight athletes, one representative of the participating country, one coach and one judge, are the responsibility of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the 2024 World Nomad Games. Participants and guests will live and eat in the best hotels in the city. 32 hotels will accept them in agreement with the city akimat.

Currently the following countries are in operation: Australia, Azerbaijan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Brazil, Hungary, Ghana, Georgia, Egypt, Italy, India, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Madagascar, Mongolia, Mexico, Nigeria, Poland, Pakistan, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, USA, Togo, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Chile, Sri Lanka, Central African Republic.

September 7 (Saturday) – arrival day, delegation accreditation

September 8 (Sunday)

10:00-12:00 – work of mandate commission on registration and admission of participants;

14:00-15:00 – weigh-in and drawing of participants;

- men 65 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg;

- women 55 kg.

15:00-16:00 – meeting of the Ground Jury with coaches and team representatives.  

18:00 – Solemn opening ceremony of the 5th WNG (by program of the 5th WNG)

September 9 (Monday) – first competitive day

11:00-13:00 – preliminary bouts

- men 65 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg;

- women 55 kg.

16:30-18.00 – semifinal and final bouts

18:30-19:30 – awarding ceremony (by program of the 5th WNG)

19:30-20:30 – weigh-in and drawing of participants;

- men 90 kg, 105 kg;

- women 65 kg, 75 kg.

September 10 (Tuesday) – second competitive day

11:00-13:00 – preliminary bouts

- men 90 kg, 105 kg;

- women 65 kg, 75 kg.

16:30-18:00 – semifinal and final bouts

18:00-19:00 – awarding ceremony (by program of the 5th WNG)
