Il Darkhan Aisen Nikolaev highly praised mas-wrestling as part of the Nomad Games
Il Darkhan of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev during his visit to Astana paid attention to the international tournament in Yakut mas-wrestling held as part of the World Nomad Games. Aisen Sergeevich closely followed the bouts of the finalists of the first day of the competition and warmly congratulated the winners and prize-winners, as well as their coaches.
It is significant that on this day two Yakut majyny with the names of Aisen - Migalkin and Atastyrov pleased Il Darkhan with a victory and brought the "gold" of the Great Steppe Games to the Russian national team. Another countryman Vladimir Burnashev, who now lives in Mexico, won "silver".
In an interview with a Sport Yakutia correspondent, Aisen Nikolaev emphasized the importance of including Yakut mas-wrestling in the official program of the Nomad Games from the very beginning of their creation. Thanks to this, today it has already become an integral part of these large-scale competitions.
“89 countries are participating in the 2024 Games. Competitions are being held in 21 sports. And one of them is our mas-wrestling, which is attracting increasing interest. This is not only the popularization of this sport, but also of all of Yakutia, its original traditions,- said Aisen Sergeevich. - Holding such large international competitions in national sports is absolutely the right direction. Thanks to such events, mas-wrestling will continue to spread more and more across the globe.”
