Veronica Lorena Perez Salgado, Colombia: «I confidently move towards my goal and climb new peaks»

Mas-wrestling burst into the life of a student of the Bashkir State Medical University, Veronica Lorena Perez Salgado from Colombia, three years ago. On March 5, we held the International mas-wrestling tournament among students «Mas-wrestling Universe» in Cheboksary within the walls of the Chuvash State University of Students. Students from around the world studying in Chuvashia and Bashkortostan discovered mas-wrestling that day. Many people liked it for its simplicity and ability to compete in a fleeting battle. Soon a wave of student mas-wrestling tournaments swept across the country. And the participants of this historic tournament were so imbued with the Yakut sport that they began to travel to other countries to shine on the mas-wrestling platform.

After the qualifying international tournament, Veronika, as part of the student team, traveled to distant Yakutia for the World Mas-wrestling Championship. The homeland of mas-wrestling pleasantly surprised the girl with Latin American roots with its warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. As a representative of her country, Veronika competed in Turkey at the World Nomad Games Championship in mas-wrestling, and in Primorye at the «Kolmar Cup».

With her radiant smile and diplomatic talent, the Colombian girl has won the love of mas-wrestling fans in many countries. Veronika is a polyglot, fluent in several languages, and actively helps the organizers of international tournaments communicate with people from different countries. The International Mas-wrestling Federation thanks Veronika Lorena for her assistance in communicating with her Chilean colleague at the Conference on the preparation of the first Open Pan American Championship in mas-wrestling in Santiago this September.
