Results of the VII Slovakian Open Mas-Wrestling Championship

A total of 24 participants from the Czech Republic, Poland and the Slovak cities of Bardejov, Banská Bystrica, Sajlina, Dunajská Strea, Giraltovec took part. The competition was held according to the current rules depending on the number of competitors in individual weight categories, i.e. according to the round robin system.

The championship was organized at a high level by the ŠK Mas Wrestling Banská Bystrica team headed by Mr. Oliver Kurek and met all the criteria for mas-wrestling rules. Many thanks to Mr. Oliver Kurek and his entire team for the work done. The atmosphere of the competition was most favorable, thanks to which all competitors were motivated to perform excellently.

The high level of preparation was confirmed by the Slovak representatives Ema Mišovčíková, Monika Kacmárová, Jana Vašková, Martin Apin, Jozef Buvala, Oliver Kurek, Tomáš Majer, Adam Savoda and Oliver Sidorák, who won the titles of champions of Slovakia and the leading medal places.

After the competition in weight categories, there was a competition for the title of absolute champion. Oliver Sidorák from Bardejov became the champion for the third time in a row. Adam Tavoda and Oliver Kurek took the places behind him.

In the medal standings of clubs, the most medals were won by mas-wrestlers from Banská Bystrica: 3 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze. With a total of 49 points, they took first place. The second place went to the team from Bardejov: 3 gold, 1 silver, a total of 44 points. The Czech Republic with 3 silver medals and 1 bronze and 37 points took an honorable third place.

The number of points is determined by the rules, i.e. gold medal - 12 points, silver - 8 points and bronze 5 points.
