The culture of Yakutia will be widely presented In the European Mas-Wrestling championship
On April 10-12 the delegation of the International mas-wrestling federation under the leadership of the president of the International federation of mas-wrestling, senator Alexander AKIMOV has visited the Republic of Georgia. On a trip about the country Yakutians were accompanied by the president of Federation of mas-wrestling of Georgia Valery GULBANI.
About trip details, about holding meetings of the organizing committee of the European championship on the Mas-Wrestling which will take place on July 22-25 this year in Batumi, the secretary general of IFMW Innokenti GRIGORIEV tells:
I consider that there has taken place very prosperous and welltimed business trip. The planned European championship is very responsible action, we have more than 20 national federations registered in Europe. At the venue Georgia is chosen not incidentally, first, according to the logistic scheme very conveniently for the European countries. Secondly, the country leaders keep mas-wrestling development, and thirdly, the national federation begins to work very actively on training of athletes, and fr om these positions the Congress of IFMW has approved the application of this country.
At all official meetings in Georgia A. K. Akimov told about Yakutia, investment and human potential of our republic in details, about the International sports games "Children of Asia", acquainted with history and prospects of mas-wrestling. His status of the member of the Federation Council of the State Duma of Russia helps us in establishment of contacts, opens practically any doors that is decisive factor in the solution of many serious questions.
In the first day important meetings took place in the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi. In the Olympic committee of Georgia, we were accepted by the president of NOC, the famous fighter, the Olympic champion of Barcelona-1992, the silver prize-winner of the Olympic Games-1988 in Seoul and three-time world champion Leri HABELOV. At 20 years old, he started his sport career in Yakutsk at Spartak stadium, he has won a gold medal and the champion's rank in 1985 at the USSR championship and have kept the warmest memories of our republic.
In parliament of Georgia we were also met by the vice-chairman, the Olympic champion-1980 in judo Shota HABARELI and the chairman of standing committee on sport and affairs of youth, the vice-president of Federation of wrestling of Georgia and the judge of top-class Edisher MACHAIDZE. We were pleased that all of them are perfectly informed on mas-wrestling, on Yakutia in general. At once during a meeting they have called the Prime Minister of the Autonomous Republic Adjara and the mayor of Batumi with a request to render us assistance, have planned questions of placement, a championship venue. Kind owners promised us full support in the organization and holding the championship.
E.Machaidze and the head of Fund Shota Habareli Mikhail MURASHASHVILI will be included in the organizing committee. It was decided to use three official languages — Russian, Georgian and English during the Championship. Also discussed to comment in the championship, E.Machaidze suggested to attract KOKUShVILI, the brother of famous sportscaster Kote MAHARADZE to this very responsible and important issue. The voice of Kote Ivanovich was known by each fan of the Soviet Union — he carried out more than 2500 repors on 20 kinds of sport.
The question of covering of the championship by the state TV companies of the country has been brought up, through parliament the corresponding letter will be sent to the First public channel of Georgia. In these days the Georgian side will offer candidates for the chief judge. In the Ministry of Sport and youth of Georgia we were accepted by the deputy minister Shalva GOGOLADZE and the head of department of sport Irakli DOLABERIDZE.
Sh. Gogoladze assured that he will attend at the mas-wrestling championship and to control the course of preparation for this affair. He reported about intentions of the ministry to expand sports and cultural relationship with Russia and Yakutia, to join national sports of our country. In particular, there are plans of joint cooperation in single combats, so, there is already an interaction with the Tomsk region on judo development. Also they are ready to come into twin contacts with the Russian and Yakut cities.
At the second day the work was continued in Batumi. There are very big perspectives of development of tourism, sphere of resort rest. At the meeting with our delegation the mayor Georgi JERMAKOW reported that the city is visited by about 2,5 million tourists a year to have a rest. All hotels of the city are completely provided with applications for this season so the number of vacationers can increase many times. Batumi is known as a large seaport, with the cargo terminal and big reservoir park. In this resort, very beautiful city various large sporting events are constantly held. So, have held the European championship on chess, are proud of the fact that their chess team — the best on the continent, in 2018 are going to host already the intellectual game World Cup.
In the city the stadium is built to 20 thousand places, the base for football club "Dynamo" is under construction, pools are built, the city basketball team well acts. Many sports constructions meet the Olympic standards. Generally, sports life in the resort town is all around, and the city hall has a wide experience in the organization of similar competitions, and not only — large economic forums and cultural events are often held here.
So, in June ministers of conservation and ecology fr om around the world will meet in this city. Having told the mayor of Batumi about our republic, mas-wrestling and its place on the sports world map, Alexander Akimov asked Georgi Jermakow to lead the organizing committee of the championship, and offered himself as the deputy, and also assurance that one of vice-mayors will be directly appointed responsible for our championship.
IFMW will present a technical rider of the championship where our requirements to the organization and carrying out continental superiority will be in detail stated to a host. We were also accepted at the deputy minister of education, culture and sport of the Republic of Adjara Valéry BERADZE whom we had already met. Though their budget doesn't provide funds for our championship but all of them are ready to give feasible help.
Fr om our ministry the competitions will be supervised by the head of department of sport Mukhran VAKHTANGADZE. The organizing committee will also include the member of the media of the republic. We have to present the advertizing video about Yakutia, her investment potential. Nowadays several options of venues of the championship, accommodation of its participants and guests are considered. The major engineering company "Alyans" has also offered cooperation, now they finish construction of big hotel wh ere will be able to meet athletes and delegations of the countries.
We should carry out big organizational work, to decide finally on the number of participants, judges and organizers, to find reasonable prices. As the venue three options are also offered. The first — the Batumi basketball sport school for children and young people. As the second we have examined a concert hall on one thousand places in city park, absolutely near the well-known Batumi beach. The third option — the building of the Olympic committee of the Republic Adjara. It is interesting to note one detail. Both in the capital, and in Batumi we were asked during the championship as it is possible to show more widely the republic, to show her culture, to spend some kind of Days of Yakutia in Georgia.
It is visible that in Georgia life was adjusted, the country lives in a quiet rhythm, nobody complains of the world financial crisis though his consequences nevertheless are noticeable. It is a lot of buildings. The country leaders and business structures look for a sales market of the production. In general, Georgia develops rapidly, the state contacts with Russia are approaching. This state is located in the center of the Caucasian region that presents conveniences in the transport and logistic plan to the countries cultivating mas-wrestling. And for this reason V. Gulbani suggests to open the Caucasian educational center of mas-wrestling wh ere will train in bases and skill of mas-wrestling in Georgia, to train experts, and also to include mas-wrestling in the program of profile institutes. He has shown willingness to work in any committee of IFMW.
Also Georgian side has asked days for 10-15 to the championship to send to Batumi the qualified trainer for holding seminars and master classes, and also for training of experts and judges. The Georgian national team already conducts preparation, continuous trainings, not without reason she is considered one of the strongest in Europe. The General secretary of Federation of mas-wrestling of Georgia Avtandil AKHVLEDIANI conducts extensive work, in particular, he has organized sports base wh ere the set of special trainers for mas-wrestlers is installed in Kutaisi. Also he has offered the services in assistance in obtaining the European patents for these trainers.
