Azerbaijan has revealed the strongest mas-wrestlers
The open championship of Azerbaijan was held on Sunday, 5th of June in Baku. At the competitions took part 84 athletes from Baku and 9 regions of the country, as well as sportsmen from Afghanistan.
Representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan, executive power of Baku city and some embassies attended the opening ceremony.
Among the honored guests were Olympic champion Rafig Shabanov and Honored Master of Sports in freestyle wrestling Rafig Hajiyev (Rafig Hajiyev was a friend and rival of Roman Dmitriev).
The championship was held among men in weight categories to 60, 70, 80, 90, 105, St. 105 kg and absolute weight category among women.

The winners were awarded with diplomas, medals and cups, champions now have the right to participate at the European Championships (Batumi, Georgia) and at the world championship (Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan).
The gifts were awarded to judges of championship Fikret Melikov and Rasul Hasanov.
