Yakutian mas-wrestling may enter the program of the VIII TAFISA World Games in Nizhny-Novgorod-2024
The Forum was opened by ROC President Stanislav Pozdnyakov and RIOU Rector, Professor Lev Belousov. The moderators were General Director of the ROC Vladimir Sengleev, Head of the Sector for Interaction with the Regions Alexey Pakhalenko, Head of the Mass Sports Programs Department Natalya Khamidova, Chief Expert of the Event Marketing and Communications Department Alexey Krapivin, Head of the Legal Department Ekaterina Romashina, Head of the Department for Olympic Educational Programs of the Department international relations Vitaly Cherkashin, head of the accounting department - chief accountant of the ROC Tatyana Cheglakova.
Over the course of three days, the participants discussed topical problems of the development of sports and the Olympic movement in the regions, expanding cooperation with the support of the ROC in the field of sports of the highest achievements and mass sports, exchanged views on possible ways of solving pressing issues related to the activities of the Olympic Councils, and greater integration of local regional sports structures into global processes aimed at the development of sports in Russia, including educational, training, methodological, educational, international, anti-doping.
As a result of the Forum, Albert Pestryakov announced the decision of the leadership of the Olympic Council of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to include Yakutian mas-wrestling in the program of the VIII TAFISA World Games in Nizhny Novgorod-2024. It should be noted that non-professional athletes take part in the TAFISA Games, and amateurs – people of different professions, ages, and social status.
The Russian delegation will number about 250 people. It will include representatives of traditional and national sports, creative teams and folk performers, regional officials.The key physical culture event of the upcoming TAFISA World Games will be the All-Russian Walking Day. It will be held simultaneously in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation with the main site in Nizhny Novgorod. As part of the event, a special teleconference relay race will unite 11 cities from each time zone, and at least 15 thousand participants and guests of the Games will take the hiking route in Nizhny Novgorod.
Recall that since August of this year, the Olympic Council of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has resumed its activities. The President is Innokenty Grigoriev, Minister for Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Vice Presidents: Innokenty Gotovtsev, Rector of the Churapchinsky State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports; Tatyana Zhirkova, senior coach of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) "Republican Center for Sports Training of National Teams of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)" in athletics; Viktor Vasiliev, head coach of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) "Republican Center for Sports Training of National Teams of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)" in cross-country skiing; Alexander Ivanov, silver medalist of the Olympic Games, coach of the national sports team of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) SBI RS (Y) "Republican Center for Sports Training of National Teams of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)".
