REGULATIONS
on holding World Mas-Wrestling Championship
among boys and girls 16-17 y.o. (2008-2009 y.b.)
Aims and objectives
World Mas-Wrestling Championship among boys and girls 16-17 y.o. (2008-2009 y.b.) is the official competition of the International Mas-wrestling Federation and held to promote and develop mas-wrestling in the world and solves the following tasks:
- determination the strongest mas-wrestling athletes among boys and girls of 16-17 y.o.;
- improvement of athletes sportsmanship;
- strengthening friendly sporting relationship among countries.
Date and venue
World Mas-wrestling Championship among boys and girls is held from July 30 to August 3 of 2025 in Arkhangai aimag, Mongolia in ARA Complex.
Arrival day – July 30, departure day – August 3, 2025.
Management
General management of preparation and holding of Championship is carried out by the International Mas-wrestling Federation, Mas-wrestling Federation of Mongolia, Administration of the Governor of Arkhangai aimag of Mongolia, ARA Complex, State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) «Republican Center of National Sports named after Vasiliy Manchaary», ANO «World Mas-wrestling Center» and Mas-Wrestling Development Fund «Planet Mas-Wrestling».
Direct responsibility of holding the event carried on the Organizing Committee on holding and preparation the VII World Mas-wrestling Championship and Ground Jury, approved by the International Mas-wrestling Federation.
Participation terms
Allowed to participate athletes of 2008-2009 year of birth, passed medical examination and permitted to engage in power sports by the application of the National Mas-wrestling Federations or authorized bodies. An athlete must have a passport or other document certifying citizenship of the country he/she represents at the competitions. Athletes who have not reached (born in 2010) or older (born in 2007) the established age are not allowed to compete.
The National Mas-wrestling Federations are entitled to be represented up to 16 (sixteen) athletes (9 in boy’s weight category and 7 in girl’s weight category), but no more than 3 (three) athletes in a weight category. National Mas-wrestling Federation of Mongolia are entitled to be represented up to 2 teams, but no more than 3 (three) athletes in a weight category.
National Federations are recommended to include in their delegation 1 (one) referee of the corresponding referee’s category to work as part of the judging panel of the competition by the agreement of the International Mas-wrestling Federation.
Participants are required to perform in sportswear No.1 or No.3 in accordance with the rules of the International Mas-wrestling Federation.
The competition is held on a 24 cm high jamb board.
Conditions for holding competition and determination of winners
Competitions are of a personal-team nature and are held according to the current 2025 International Mas-wrestling Rules.
Depending on the number of participants in the weight categories in the competition system, changes are possible according to the competition rules:
− for 7 or more athletes in the weight category according to the system with elimination after two defeats, divided into groups "A" and "B";
− for 6, 5, 4 or 3 athletes in a weight category, a round robin system is used;
− for 2 or less athletes in a weight category, the weight category is added to the next weight category.
Weight categories:
- boys – up to 50 kg, up to 55 kg, up to 60 kg, up to 65 kg, up to 70 kg, up to 75 kg, up to 80 kg, up to 90 kg, 90+ kg;
- girls – up to 45 kg, up to 50 kg, up to 55 kg, up to 60 kg, up to 65 kg, up to 70 kg, 70+ kg.
Weighing takes place the day before the start of the competition within 90 minutes.
The team total is displayed by points for the total number of medals:
1st place – 12 points, 2nd place – 8 points, 3rd place – 5 points.
In case of equal points among two or more team, priority is determined by most number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. places.
Participants grant organizers a right to take a photo, to film or otherwise use their voice, appearance and name. Further, the content can be displayed, distributed or otherwise used in merchandising and advertising to promote the sport in any media now known and possible in the future. The rights to be granted indefinitely and without additional compensation.
The final results (protocols) on paper and electronic form should be given in 2 (two) weeks after the sports event is over.
Insurance
Participation in the competitions is allowed only in case of presence a life and health insurance policy against accidents (original) for each person, which is submitted to the commission for registration and admission of participants.
Insurance fees of the athletes carry the sending organizations.
Safety
Competitions to be held in sport buildings, agreeable to the standards of corresponding standard rules of law, functioning in the territory of Mongolia and directed to provide public order and safety of participants and spectators.
Qualified medical personnel should present in the competition venue.
Financing
All costs connected with the preparation and holding of Championship, under the terms of the equity, carry the International Mas-wrestling Federation, Mas-wrestling Federation of Mongolia, Arkhangai aimag, State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) «Republican Center of National Sports named after Vasiliy Manchaary», ANO «World Mas-wrestling Center» and Mas-Wrestling Development Fund «Planet Mas-Wrestling».
The costs of transfer from the international airport and railway station of Ulaanbaatar to the venue in Arkhangai aimag and back, accommodation and three meals a day for participants of number of a national teams from July 31 to August 3 are borne by the host party - Mas-Wrestling Federation of Mongolia and Arkhangai aimag.
Partial expenses of the Championship participants (insurance, visa expenses) are carry by the sending organizations.
Awarding
Top three athletes and coaches of the champions in each weight category to be awarded with medals and diplomas.
Top three team to be awarded with diplomas and cups.
Applications
Preliminary applications for participation are submitted before July 1, 2025 to the email address: maswrestlingwc@mail.ru. The form of Nominal Application is attached (Appendix 1).
To the Commission for admission of participants should be provided the national flag of the country (100x150 cm in a vertical position), the short variation of national anthem (1 verse and refrain) on electronic media, nominal and technical applications signed by the head of the national mas-wrestling federation and a doctor, as well as originals of the following documents for each athlete:
- passport, or other document certifying the citizenship of the participant;
- life and health insurance policy against accidents (original).
Visa
Delegations, which are needed VISA for entrance and stay on the territory of Mongolia, should send to the organizers a list of participants until April 1, 2025 for visa processing, indicating full names, gender, passport numbers (also their dates of issue and validity), dates of birth, a scanned copy of the first informative page of the passport..
Marketing and advertising
The Organizing Committee guarantees maintenance of Sponsor rights by the partners and sponsors of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation, appointed in the appropriate Agreements.
Media
The Organizing Committee guarantees accordance of the appropriate conditions of work on the event for accredited media representatives in accordance with the Statement of the International Mas-Wrestling Federation on Mass-Media.
This Regulation is the official challenge to the competition.
